Obituary for Dena Lester (Justice)

Dena Justice Lester, age 88 of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Grundy, Virginia.

Born February 23, 1930 at Panther, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lawson and Maggie Justice. Dena loved to cook for family and friends. She loved cooking pinto beans and corn bread, especially for her sons. She worked cleaning houses and offices and was an avid fan of “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” television programs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Leonard Justice, Paul Justice, Hazel Justice Samson, Earl Justice, Mae Justice Wagner, Ralph Justice, Huelling (Hulen) Justice and Cynthia Justice Mullins.

Funeral services for Dena Justice Lester will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel in Grundy, Virginia, with Gene Addair officiating. The burial will follow at the Lawrence Mullins Cemetery, Panther Ridge Road, Paynesville, West Virginia.

The family will receive friends Friday evening 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home with a service held at 7:00 P.M.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
A heartfelt thanks to all the Staff of Heritage Hall Nursing Home who
took the best of care of Dena for five years.
