Obituary for Michael Dotson

Michael Rell Dotson, age 54 of Hurley, Virginia passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Born March 31, 1964, at Grundy, Virginia, he was the son of Evelyn Hall Dotson of Hurley, Virginia and the late Rell Dotson. He was a coal truck driver, owner, and operator of MRD Trucking.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela Dotson; second wife, Anna Dotson; one brother, Bobby Dotson; one nephew, Brian Dotson; and special companion, Patsy Estep.

Funeral services for Michael Rell Dotson will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel in Grundy, Virginia, with Larry Rife and Hassell Rife officiating, with burial to follow at the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, Virginia.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6:00 P.M., with a service held at 7:00 P.M.

Serving as Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Virginia Funeral Home of Grundy is in charge of arrangements.
