Jeffery Delmas Keen, age 56 of Bradshaw, WV went home to his heavenly home on June 7th, 2018, after fighting a courageous battle with a chronic illness for many years. His firm faith in God, and the support of his family helped him through this journey and ultimately gave him peace. He was preceded in death by his dad, Delmas Lester Keen. Jeff is survived by his wife of 37 wonderful years, Lucille Keen and devoted daughter Doshia Keen of the home. His mom Violet Keen, brother Mike Keen and wife Debbie, his sister Lori Keen Beavers and husband Kennith, sister-in-law Vickie Christian and husband David Christian, sister-in-law Jackie Blevins and husband Kenny, sister-in-law Betty Fowler and husband Charlie, sister-in-law Ruthie Matney and husband Benny, and sister-in-law Theodoshia McCoy and husband Darrell. Nieces Kristen Speight, Sherri Coble, Kathie Coble, Barbra Harmon, Megan Muncy, Haley Collins, and Paytan Roberts. Nephews Nick Keen, Donovan Beavers, Mark Muncy, Chase Muncy, Justin Muncy, Mike Fowler, John Collins, David Collins, Jimmy Bowles, Bradley Blevins. Great nephews Jace Speight, Jase Muncy, and Cooper Collins. Special brother and sister in Christ Dennis Davis and wife Rita. Special friends Donna Muncy, Linda Muncy, and Sandra Rowe. Special fur-babies Buddy, Bill and Buster. Jeff was a faithful member of Cross Road Baptist Church of East Bend NC where he was a Sunday school teacher for many years before moving to Bradshaw WV. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, but before all else, he was a servant of God.
The celebration of Jeff's life will be held at Church of Jesus in Bartley, WV. Saturday evening service will be held on June 9th, 2018. The family will gather from 5 PM to 6 PM. Friends will be received at 6 PM to 8 PM. Officiating the Saturday evening service will be brother Kennith Beavers and brother George Goggins. Sunday service will begin at 1 pm on June 10, 2018, and will also be officiated by brother George Goggin. He will be laid to rest at Mullins Cemetery on Ritter Mountain. Pallbearers will be Mike Keen, Nick Keen, Donovan Beavers, John Collins, David Collins, Jimmy Bowles, Bradley Blankenship, Mark Muncy, Ronald Beavers, Dennis Davis, Darrell McCoy, and Benny Matney. Honorary pallbearers are Dewayne Bishop and Dwight Bishop. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, kinds words, and support during this time.
