Ronnie "Reese" Harris
Ronnie Harris AKA “Reese” age 60 of Grundy, Virginia passed away at the
Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky with his fiancé of 23 years
by his bedside. On Thursday, July 5, 2018 Reese lost his brief battle to pancreatic cancer.
Reese was the oldest of twins born January 7, 1958 to the late Donald
Harris and Lula Jean Bills Harris.
Reese was an avid fisherman, camper, and anything outdoors. He
had a heart for muscle cars and loved Nascar. He never missed a race
and “Race Day” will never be the same. Reese worked many years in the coal mines before injury left him at home. He was full of life, was funny, loving, and he never met a stranger. He had so many wild stories to tell. He was a joy to those who loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother,

Also surviving is an abundance of special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ronnie “Reese” Harris will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia with Eugene Whited officiating with burial to follow at the Smith Branch Family Cemetery, Grundy, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Monday night 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home, where a service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Jonathan Skeens, Michael Brown, Chad Smith, Jr., Randy Cole, Randy Vandyke, Larry Justus, Jimmy Justus, and Billy Thacker.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Bucky Harris, Jr., Justin Vandyke,
Shane Vandyke, Brandon Nowlin, Jon St.Clair, Austin Keen, Michael Lester,
Randy Harris, and Christopher Bullins.
