Obituary for Wondie "Sue" Stacy Looney

Wondie “Sue” Stacy Looney, age 58 of the Brushy Fork section of Hurley, Virginia went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Grundy, Virginia.

Born January 26, 1960 in Grundy, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Ola Stacy.
Sue was a homemaker, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of the New Zion Freewill Baptist Church at Big Rock, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda Gertrude Stacy; life long friend Joann Justus Charles; and father-in-law, Walter Looney; and brother-in-law, Roy Justice.

Husband Michael David Looney of Hurley, Virginia

Sherry Stacy and fiancée Dereck Sutherland of Vansant, Virginia

Funeral services for Wondie “Sue” Looney will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at the New Zion Freewill Baptist Church at Big Rock, Virginia with Randy Cantrell and Fred Stacy officiating. The burial will follow in the Justus Cemetery, Brushy Fork Road at Hurley, Virginia.

The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday evenings 6:00 P.M. at the church with a service each evening at 7:00 P.M.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

Virginia Funeral Home of Grundy, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
