Obituary for Lydia Hibbitts

Lydia Ann Hibbitts, age 76, of Grundy, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Grundy, Virginia.

She was born on December 29, 1942, in Buchanan County. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Bernard Hibbitts and Sarah Vandyke Hibbitts. She was a member of the Little Prater Church Of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James (Buck) Hibbitts; and two sisters, Helen Eileen Smith and Thelma McGinnis.

Survivors Include:
Sisters
Betty and husband Arthur Stiltner of Grundy, Virginia
Shirley and husband Jimmy Fuller of Honaker, Virginia
Lola Gay and husband Paul David Hardin of Grundy, Virginia
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her extended family of Heritage Hall for twenty years.

Funeral Services for Lydia Ann Hibbitts will be on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, 7:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel at Grundy, Virginia, with Hobert Kennedy and Bill Neeley officiating. Friends may call at 6:00 P.M.
There will be a graveside service on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 1:00 P.M. at the Hibbitts Cemetery in Grundy, Virginia.

Serving as pallbearers will be nephews of the family and William Shrader.
Honorary pallbearers will be brother-in-laws Jennings Smith, Arthur Stiltner, David Hardin, and Jimmy Fuller.

A special thanks to the men of the Little Prater Church of Christ who served her every Lord’s Day.
